1982年に柳宗理氏が手がけた「白黒の食器シリーズ」。
角に丸みをもたせたスクエア型のフォルムは、日常使いを考えてデザインされた一枚です。
シンプルで洗練された佇まいは、カジュアルな食事からフォーマルなシーンまで幅広く活躍します。
取り皿やデザートプレート、前菜用としても使いやすく、料理を引き立てながら食卓に静かな存在感を添えます。
当時、陶磁器の量産食器といえば回転成形による生産が主流でしたが、本シリーズでは鋳込み成形（圧力鋳込み・排泥鋳込み）を採用。
その製法により、回転体では難しかったスクエア型の造形を実現しました。
フォルムに寄り添うように施された白と黒のマット釉が、落ち着いた上質感を演出。
2023年にはセラミック・ジャパンのオリジナル商品として復刻・製造販売がスタートし、時代を超えて愛されるデザインです。長く使い続けたい一枚として、日々の食卓にぜひ取り入れてみてください。

日本のインダストリアルデザインの確立と発展において重要な役割を果たしたデザイナー柳宗理。

Sori Yanagi is one of the most respected designers around the world, and his work continues to inspire designers around the world. He played an important role in the establishment and development of Japanese industrial design, demonstrating an amazing diversity with designs ranging from industrial products, furniture, tableware, kitchen utensils and other tools, to architecture and environmental structures.
Sori Yanagi’s cutlery and porcelain designs and Butterfly Stool are in the permanent collection of museums worldwide, including MoMA in New York and the Louvre in Paris.
