日本のインダストリアルデザインの確立と発展において重要な役割を果たしたデザイナー柳宗理。
工業デザイン、家具、テーブルウェア、キッチン用品など、多様性のある素晴らしいデザインの数々を世に生み出しました。
立体模型を作って試作を重ねることで知られる柳宗理のデザインは、機能美と使いやすさを兼ね備えた唯一無二のプロダクトです。
代表作の一つでもあるバタフライスツールは、ニューヨークのMOMA、パリのルーブル美術館を含めた世界の美術館のコレクションとして所蔵されています。

Sori Yanagi is one of the most respected designers around the world, and his work continues to inspire designers around the world. He played an important role in the establishment and development of Japanese industrial design, demonstrating an amazing diversity with designs ranging from industrial products, furniture, tableware, kitchen utensils and other tools, to architecture and environmental structures.
Sori Yanagi’s cutlery and porcelain designs and Butterfly Stool are in the permanent collection of museums worldwide, including MoMA in New York and the Louvre in Paris.
